Channa/Chhole Masala

Option Channa/Chhole Masala is carefully crafted blend of perfectly balanced spices that imparts the absolute flavour while 
preparing Chhole, the essence of an exotic Punjabi cuisine.




Coriander, Cumin, Chilli,  Bay Leaves, Dried Mango, Turmeric, Cassia, Fennel, Clove, Black Pepper, Kachri, Dry Ginger, Kasoori Methi, Mint Leaves, Black Salt, Black Cardamom, Staranise, Mace, Pomegranate Seeds, Salt, Citric.

Soak Chhole overnight & boil them well with little salt. Heat up some ghee in a pan. Add cumin, ginger-garlic paste & chopped onions. Saute till the onion turns translucent.  Now add tomato puree and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. Now goes the Option Channa/Chhole Masala & Salt to taste. Cook till ghee separates from the masalas.  At this stage, add boiled Chhole.  To get restaurant style thick gravy, add 15% Chhole in mashed form.  Add little by little water to adjust the consistency of gravy. Let it cook with lid covered for at least 15 minutes while stirring gently in between. Add pinch of Kasoori Methi, butter & cream to finish up. Mix well.  Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with kulcha, bhatura or parantha.
